Ex-special assistant to late president Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretha Onochie has for the first time, openly criticized the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing it of misplaced priority.

Lauretha Onochie through her X handle, taunted president Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his acclaimed reputation of being a master strategist. According to her, the Nigeria’s president lacks proper leadership skill and shows that in his lack of interest in Nigeria’s proper representation across countries of the world.

Lauretha Onochie cited that two years into president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, Nigeria still do not have ambassadors to several countries of the world. She said president Tinubu’s inability to appoint ambassadors to several countries, has denied Nigeria proper representation in those countries.

Lauretha Onochie added that the president due to his personal interest and self-aggrandizement is the reason he prefers relating with countries such as St. Lucia and Kazakhstan for his personal gains.

Nigerians were taken aback by the presence of Lauretha Onochie at the inauguration of the coalition party a few weeks ago. Her being very prominent in president Muhammadu Buhari’s government as well as her campaign and support for Tinubu’s candidacy in 2023, made many wonder over caused her sudden change.

The former director of Nigeria Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is believed to be in political alignment with former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai who is a leading member of the coalition party.
