- A few weeks after announcing his intention to marry his fiancee and mother of his child, Nigerian hip hop singer, Reekado Banks has announced a change of mind.
The former member of the Marvin record during an interview on TVC with Esther Oye disclosed that he has changed his stance over marrying his “baby mama” just two months he disclosed their wedding plans and preparations.
The singer explained that he was certain about his decision to tie the knot with his baby mama a few weeks ago and in which he publicized it; he however pointed out that things have changed at present. He attributed his change of stance vaguely to his “emotional intelligence”.
According to him, his decision to cancel the wedding plans has nothing to do with his music career nor influence from anybody. He said his changing his mind should be attributed to himself and his emotional intelligence which he is currently working on.
Recall that in November 2014, Reekado Banks and his then girlfriend, Emem welcomed a child– what is known as his only child at present. The child reportedly arrived on Reekado Banks’ late mother’s death anniversary; a coincidence he joyfully pointed out through his social media accounts.
Despite having a child for Reekado Bank, a only a little is known about Emem, his supposed fiancee whom he has now disclosed controversially his decision not to marry her.
The latest development has prompted his fans and followers on social media to question the singer’s mental health and general wellness especially as his music career appear to have stalled since about half a decade.
