Political Harlotry in Enugu: Case of Ben Nwoye by Martins Chidiebere Ekwueme

In the history of political development of Enugu, there has never been as much shameless political prostitution as that of Mr. Ben Nwoye.

This was a man who was APC state chairman in ENUGU for 8 years and all through his reign, he ensured that the party remains a political and almost toothless appendage of the ruling PDP.

After wrecking damage on the party including sabotage in the last general elections, he left the same party(after a job weldone) a few months ago only to return again today in brazen shamelessness to do another hatchet job for Peter Mbah who has been having political hemorrhage ever since it is abundantly clear that Ndị Enugu have rejected him and are waiting in readiness to cast him out from the Lion’s Building come 2027.

To say that Mr. Ben Nwoke is politically direction-less is to make a case for him. This was a man whose stock-in-trade for the eight(8)solid years that he was at the helm of affairs of the APC was POLITICAL SABOTAGE.

It is on record that the triumphant entrance of Chief Uche Nnaji was instrumental to the sanitisation of Enugu state APC to this beautiful height it has achieved today as the major opposition party in the state.

It is sad that those who willingly vandalized APC to ingratiate themselves in Enugu are now poised to returning to partake in her glory.

Those who destroyed the foundation must never be allowed to partake in the joy that comes with completion of the building. Eight (8) years is more than enough time to know who a serial unrepentant betrayer is. This aptly defines who Ben Nwoye is even to the blind!

The Enugu APC must never let him the opportunity to hoist another hatchet job for the PDP.

The current leadership of the APC and indeed Chief Uche Nnaji is the surest bet for the rescue of Enugu from the political and economic hawks collectively seeking to perch and destroy our common patrimony.

The time to be cautious is now!
