Peller revealed reason he converted from Islam to Christianity 

Nigerian TikTok sensation, Peller has revealed that he was a Muslim but converted to Christianity due to his childhood experience.

Speaking in a live session with his fans and TikTok followers, the teenage Nigerian content creator disclosed that his childhood trauma made him abandon Islam for Christianity. He made this revelation in response to a question from one of his fans who referred to him as a Muslim. He pointed out to the said fan of his that he is no longer a Muslim as he now attends church.

While giving more detail, Peller explained that the brutality of his Quran teachers at Islamic schools left him traumatized; he neither embraced the Quranic teachings nor grew spiritually due to the extreme punitive measures adopted by the teachers. According to him, his inner peace waned as well as his enthusiasm for Islam due to the teaching method at his Islamic school. He claimed that the method was harsh and traumatic; hence, the primary reason he converted from Islam to Christianity even as a child.

Peller whose girlfriend recently confirmed their marriage engagement, received mixed reactions from his fans and followers; some reprimanded him for abandoning his Islamic faith due to the teaching method of his teachers at his Islamic school. He was described as one with superficial knowledge of his faith even though he was born into a Muslim home.

He was also reminded that religious choices shouldn’t be made due to conviniences but through spiritual convictions.

However, he was also applauded for making the switch by some who concurred  to his argument and also pointed out their experiences and emphasized the need for Quranic teachers in Nigeria to employ more innovative and enterprising method of teaching their pupils at the expense of their current manner of teaching characterized by coersion, emotional abuse as well as physical brutality.
