Maj. General John Enenche Shares His Experience Working With Peter Obi As Governor
Retired Major General in the Nigeria Army, John Enenche has reflected on his time working with Peter Obi during the later’s tenure as governor of Anambra state.
Maj. General John Enenche who in the wake of the 2023 presidential election, openly endorsed Peter Obi for Nigeria’s president at the expense of popular contesters such as Atiku Abubakar and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while speaking recently, extolled former governor Peter Obi for his administration’s ability to restore security across the state.
The retired major general stated that the security situation in Anambra state was bad prior to Peter Obi becoming the governor of the state. However, Peter Obi whom he worked closely with while he was still in service and during Obi’s governorship administration, restored security across the state.
“I worked closely with Peter Obi during his tenure as Governor of Anambra State, and under his leadership, security was fully restored across the state”, he stated
Major General John Enenche had in his endorsement video of Peter Obi in 2023, described Obi as competence, humble, sincere and selfless.
With the 2027 general elections in view, Peter Obi presidential ambition remains alive amid strong call to the coalition party –African Democratic Party (ADC) to give Peter Obi its presidential ticket.
