“It Started 3 Months Into His Tenure”, Buba Galadima Reveals The Actual Reason Gov. Abba Kabir Betrayed Kwankwaso

Buba Galadima, former political ally of late president Muhammadu Buhari and current right-hand man to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has ruled out the speculation that governor Abba Kabir was influenced or coerced into joining the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the expense of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

While speaking on Trust tv on 23rd of January ahead of governor Abba Kabir’s official switch to the APC, Buba Galadima stated that the governor started being pressured to betray his political benefactor, former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso three months into his governorship administration.

According to him, governor Abba Kabir faced pressure to abandon the NNPP and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from his close friends who were part of his government. He added that the governor has stayed so long with Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the NNPP, surpassing his expectation, before yielding to the pressure.

“Abba was declared as the governor of Kano, and a lot of his friends, three months into his tenure, were pushing him to abandon Kwankwaso. They abandoned Kwankwaso, and for me personally, I think he has stayed long enough with Kwankwaso”, he stated.

This however contradicts former governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s earlier claims that governor Abba Kabir was being pressured by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to join the ruling party.
