A few days after her photos sparked controversies especially on the Nigeria’s social media space, Habitat Oyindamola, daughter of Nigeria’s president Bola Ahmed has been linked to a $2.4million New York condominium.
Popular investigative award-winning Nigerian journalist, David Hundeyin claims that the president’s daughter, Habitat Oyindamola secretly purchased the said property in New York in 2014 for a whooping sum of $2.4million.
He revealed that the purchase was made in 2014 when Habitat Oyindamola was 22 years of age.
David Hundeyin revealed further that the purchase of the property which is located at 255 Hudson Street, Manhattan was not done directly by Habitat Oyindamola but through a proxy.
The investigative journalist explained that Habibat Oyindamola made the purchase through a limited liability company she founded for such a purpose necessary for her identity to remain hidden from Nigerians who might be disgruntled by such an act especially as she was unemployed at that time.
While her father has for more than two decades been at the helm of the Lagos State government directly and indirectly before emerging Nigeria’s president in 2023, Habibat Oyindamola and her two siblings– the children of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s legally married wife, Remi Tinubu, have kept their life out of the public eye.
The self-acclaimed runway model recently raised eyebrows through her photos on social media – photos which elicited reactions from Nigerians concerned about the president’s daughter morals and lifestyle. Habibat Oyindamola identifies a queer and LGBTQ right activist. This is in contrast with her mother’s Christian faith and position as a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Her father, president Bola Ahmed also is believed to be a devout Muslim whose Islamic faith contributed to his 2023 presidential election victory.
