Fredrick Leonard’s wife, Peggy Ovire sparks divorce rumour

Delta State born model, actress and movie producer, Peggy Ovire Onoho (Ego Oyibo) has triggered speculations over her marriage to actor Fredrick Leonard.

The mother of one who celebrated her son’s birthday six months ago, put her marriage into public scrutiny by her recent video on TikTok. The actress in a video she shared on her TikTok page in which she was dancing to Davido’s latest song: “With You”, sparked divorce rumour with her husband over the absence of her wedding ring on her finger. In the said video, the actress  showed off her hands unintuitively to suggest that all is not well with her marriage.

While Peggy Ovire Onoho and Fredrick Leonard got married in 2021, the marriage has been kept away from the social media publics. The duo chose to shield their marriage from social media, avoiding the frenzy that usually characterized celebrity marriages.

However, with her renewed social media presence as well as her appearing without her marriage ring, speculators believe that Fredrick Leonard and Peggy Ovire Onoho might be heading for divorce.

Peggy Ovire and Fredrick Leonard relationship has been shredded in secrecy with so many missing and confusing lines in their relationship story. While Peggy had previously in an interview with the Punch Newspaper, declared that she was not having an affair with Fredrick Leonard. She revealed in the said interview how much she detested Igbo men especially as they are unromantic– in her opinion. She ruled out marrying an Igbo man as they are the most unromantic in the world, according to her. However, in 2021, report emerged about Peggy Ovire and Fredrick Leonard secretly getting marriage. Their purported marriage certificate was shared on social media while neither of them confirmed or debunked the claims in the report as well as the marriage certificate in question.

The actress was also previously linked to her colleague, Tchidi Chikere who later married Nuella Njubigbo. While reports claimed that Tchidi Chikere and Peggy Ovire  had relationship stint, the actress when asked about it, declared that it was untrue while describing herself as single and searching.

Frederick Leonard and Peggy Ovire divorce rumour has been debunked by the couple. The celebrity couple had never contemplated separating as was speculated on the Nigeria’s social media space.

The couple have recently been spotted together in public function and in videos social media.

Recently, actor Frederick Leonard while speaking in an interview, extolled his wife, describing her as a gift from God to him which he cherishes so much. He narrated how marrying Peggy Ovire has become one of the best personal life choices he made. According to him, their marriage has been blissful, built and flourishing on friendship.

Reacting to the divorce rumour, Frederick Leonard stated that they are not interested in unfounded reports by blogs about their marriage. He revealed that himself and his wife are collectively dedicated to caring for their child whom God by His mercy has blessed them.

The actor also stated that combining one’s celebrity status with marriage requires self-denial and mindfulness of one’s life’s decision and choice.

In another development,  Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has finally given explanation to her sudden weight loss that sparked outrage on Nigeria’s social media space.

Recall that a few weeks ago, stunning photos of the actress appearing emaciated, trended on the Nigeria’s social media space. There were concerns over the actress drastic  lost of her adorable weight.

However, the actress in an interview with fellow actress, Joke Silva has disclosed in an emotional tone that all was not well with her. According to her, her sudden weight loss was due to a health condition.

Specifically, the actress revealed that she had cancer scare; a development that resulted in a surgery for the removal of her thyroid.

The actress in the interview emotionally revealed that she and her husband were stunned by the development but had no choice other than accepting her fate; fate which includes that she has to live rest of her life on medication.

According to her, when the medical experts told her about her condition, she and her husband were considerate of what could become the fate of her six month old child. Hence, they braved up and resorted to seeking solution to her condition. As a result,  she will never miss her medication for even a day throughout the rest of her life.

The actress who was visibly emotional during the interview, explained that she as well as her family has accepted  her fate and is dedicated towards living the best of her life and in the comfort of her family.

While reaction trailed her weight loss on social media, the actress supposedly in a desperate move to coverup, appeared in a video ads in which she attributed her weight loss to sliming tea.
